  • Most Memorable Fellowship Moment: Working with leaders and executives to create a business plan for a physician dispensing program, or an oral dispensing pharmacy, at the City of Hope community practice sites. It was a fantastic learning opportunity to present to executive leadership and gain their insight into the factors that matter most when developing a new service line.

 

Katelyn Kaiser, MHSA

  • Most Memorable Fellowship Moment: Working closely with executives across the enterprise to create and manage the National Medical Center’s $5M Capital Budget. This was a huge responsibility that taught me a lot about organizational agility and the Capital Expense Authorization process in general.

  • Most Memorable Fellowship Moment: Working to develop and standardize an inpatient rounding program where nurses receive real-time patient experience feedback. This provides information that allows us to quickly respond to issues in order to improve the patient’s stay at City of Hope and drive HCAHPS scores.

  • Most Memorable Fellowship Moment: Attending the opening of our new facility in Lancaster, CA and seeing the passion that our physicians have for the organization's mission, vision and values. All the hardwork leading up to that moment paid off.

  • Most Memorable Fellowship Moment: I worked with a team of physicians and administrators in Pathology to create an expanded Lab Outreach Program, which generates additional revenue for the medical center and helps build a robust Pathology department.
