PGY1 Residents

Jason Chen, Pharm.D., received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry/Chemistry at the University of California, San Diego. He graduated from University of Southern California in Los Angeles, CA where he obtained his Doctor of Pharmacy Degree. Throughout his academic career, Jason became enthralled by the cutting edge science, unique therapeutic considerations, and pharmacoeconomic challenges that are associated with innovative chemotherapies and biotherapies.  The culmination of these three factors in the oncology therapeutic area led Jason to pursue a PGY-1 residency at City of Hope. Currently, he has professional interests in hematology/medical oncology, administration, investigational drug management, and managed care. Outside of residency, Jason enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, and exploring new places to eat.

Pauline Kim, Pharm.D., received both her Bachelor of Arts degree in Biological Sciences and her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from University of Southern California in Los Angeles, CA. She developed an interest for the treatment of hematologic and oncologic malignancies through personal influences and is excited to pursue her clinical interests at City of Hope. Her personal experiences have nurtured a passion for assisting patients and their families as they battle cancer. In her spare time, Pauline enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, eating, and hiking.

Shannon Wey, Pharm.D., received her Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences and Bachelor of Arts in Economics from National Taiwan University and then completed a Ph.D in Genetics, Molecular and Cellular Biology from University of Southern California in Los Angeles, CA. She continued her academic career at University of Southern California to obtain her Doctor of Pharmacy Degree. Her passion for oncology stems from her graduate studies in cancer research, and City of Hope has provided her with the perfect interface to integrate innovative science with clinical application. Currently, she has a deep professional interest in hematology and medical oncology. Outside of residency, Shannon enjoys watching movies, spending time with family and friends, and exploring new places to eat.

PGY2 Resident

Gabriel Park, Pharm.D., received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry/Cell Biology and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at the University of California, San Diego and his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Midwestern University, Chicago College of Pharmacy. He completed a PGY1 residency in pharmacy practice at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in Colton, CA. His passion for oncology/hematology began during his undergraduate studies where he was involved in the research of biochemical cell signaling. During his pharmacy studies, he experimented with different drug formulations of a popular cancer drug. He carried that experience forward by designing and implementing a clinical trial for oncology patients during his PGY1. Currently, he appreciates being able to directly care for patients with the healthcare team. Outside of residency, Gabriel enjoys completing various do-it-yourself projects, going to Disneyland, and exploring new places to eat.
