PGY1 Residents

Kellie Komoda, Pharm. D., received her Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmaceutical Science from the University of California, Irvine and her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, CA. She was inspired to pursue oncology after seeing many of her family and friends battle against cancer. Her interest further developed during her undergraduate studies where she learned about various drug delivery systems and considerations involved in cancer treatment. Her passion to help cancer patients led her to pursue a PGY1 residency at City of Hope. Currently, she has an interest in hematology, medical oncology, and pediatrics. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, and going to Disneyland.

Akemi Meguro, Pharm.D., received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at the University of California, San Diego and completed her Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from University of Southern California. Her interest in oncology began when learning about managing toxicities of chemotherapy in the academic and hospital setting, and she is intrigued by the expanding landscape of oncology treatments. She is excited to pursue her professional interests including hematology/medical oncology, and pharmacy administration at City of Hope. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, exploring new restaurants and outdoor activities.

Dina Trang, Pharm.D., received her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry at University of California, Los Angeles. She continued her academic career at University of Southern California where she obtained her Doctor of Pharmacy degree. Her professional interests in medical oncology are fueled by personal influences and she is also eager to explore more in the areas of hematology and stem cell transplantation. She is excited to pursue her clinical interests at City of Hope and appreciates being able to directly care for oncology patients. Outside of residency, Dina enjoys spending time with family and friends, exploring new places to eat, and attending music concerts.

PGY2 Resident

Jason Chen, Pharm.D., received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry/Chemistry at the University of California, San Diego. He graduated from University of Southern California in Los Angeles, CA where he obtained his Doctor of Pharmacy Degree. Throughout his academic career, Jason became enthralled by the cutting edge science, unique therapeutic considerations, and pharmacoeconomic challenges that are associated with innovative chemotherapies and biotherapies.  The culmination of these three factors in the oncology therapeutic area led Jason to pursue a PGY-1 residency at City of Hope. Currently, he has professional interests in hematology/medical oncology, administration, investigational drug management, and managed care. Outside of residency, Jason enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, and exploring new places to eat.
