Gulden Mesara, M.B.A.

Gulden Mesara, M.B.A., serves as senior vice president and chief communications and marketing officer for City of Hope. Mesara provides the overall strategic leadership for marketing and communications initiatives as the cancer treatment center and biomedical research institution enters a new era of growth and development.
In her role, Mesara partners with City of Hope administrative leadership and faculty on integrated communications and marketing planning, strategy and execution to build the City of Hope brand locally, regionally and nationally.
Mesara brings significant experience in building and leading diverse, high-performing marketing and communications teams at global Fortune 100 companies, including Pfizer, Abbott and AbbVie. She most recently served as the group vice president of communications for Walgreens Boots Alliance, overseeing U.S. and global communications and events.
Selected as one of the “2019 Top Women in PR" by PRNews, Mesara is a visionary storyteller, as well as a business leader with the creativity to engage all audiences.
Mesara completed her graduate studies at Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University, where she earned a Master of Business Administration. She also holds an M.S. in public relations from S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communication, Syracuse University, and a B.A. in political and administrative sciences from University of Marmara in Istanbul, Turkey.
