Liana Nikolaenko, M.D., is an assistant clinical professor in the Department of Hematology & Hematopoietic Cell Transplantation.

Dr. Nikolaenko received her undergraduate degree from UCLA before earning her medical doctorate cum laude from St. George’s University, Grenada, West Indies. She went on to complete an internal medicine residency at St. Mary Medical Center in Long Beach, California, followed by a hematology oncology fellowship at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in Torrance. Recently, Dr. Nikolaenko completed her training at City of Hope with a fellowship in bone marrow transplantation.

Board certified in internal medicine and medical oncology, Dr. Nikolaenko is the recipient of several honors and awards, including the Western Society for Clinical Investigation’s Subspecialty Award and being inducted into the Iota Epsilon Alpha International Honor Society. She has authored peer-reviewed publications and book chapters and has presented her work at national and international symposiums.

Fluent in Russian, Dr. Nikolaenko holds active memberships with the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Society of Hematology.
