City of Hope has been recognized by DiversityInc as one of the nation’s “Top Hospitals and Health Systems” for diversity, equity and inclusion. City of Hope ranked second on the “Top Hospitals and Health Systems” 2023 list, distinguishing us as one of two National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer centers and the highest ranked institution in California on the list.

City of Hope and our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion office are committed to providing the utmost health care to everyone, including the LGBTQ+ community, and stand by our inclusive and equitable practices. We're excited to announce that we are a Leader in @HumanRightCampaign Foundation's Healthcare Equality Index.

The Orange County Business Journal, one of this region’s most reputable publications, has listed City of Hope Orange County among the top institutions committed to diversity, equity and inclusion.

This ranking took into account our goal to increase diversity in our clinical trials and how we involved the community in the design of our cancer research. It celebrated our robust staff diversity, equity and inclusion trainings and events and the way we recruit and hire our staff. And it honored our many policies and programs, including advocating for Cancer Care Is Different to be signed by Gov. Gavin Newson and committing to a supply chain backed by minority, women, LGBTQIA and veteran-owned businesses.
