Event co-sponsored by SB Architects and Hudson Pacific Properties; features short and long rides followed by food and entertainment
SAN FRANCISCO/PETALUMA, Calif– Real estate professionals are invited to come out and support City of Hope, recently named the leading cancer center in the west by U.S. News & World Report, by joining the 2019 Bike to Hope. Registration for the Northern California Real Estate & Construction Council’s eighth annual fundraiser is up and running.
The Friday, Oct. 18, 2019, event will start and end at Penngrove Park in Petaluma, California.
SB Architects and Hudson Pacific Properties are sponsoring the anticipated sell-out event, which benefits City of Hope, a world-renowned independent research and treatment center for cancer, diabetes and other life-threatening diseases. With more than 250 people expected to join, riders are encouraged to sign up online and assure their spot. Riders will be equipped with a personalized fundraising website as well.
Bruce A. Wright, vice president and principal at SB Architects, said his team is thrilled to continue sponsoring Bike to Hope. “Our philanthropic efforts have grown organically from our values,” Wright said. “Wellness shapes our architectural design approach and plays a crucial role in our personal lives at SB Architects. Both the event and cause fit our values and passions, and we’ve been a proud supporter for two decades. Through our continued support and participation in Bike to Hope, we hope to increase optimism and interest in health and wellness, and in life-enhancing efforts by organizations like City of Hope.”
Drew Gordon, senior vice president, Northern California, of Hudson Pacific Properties, said his company shares City of Hope’s commitment to innovation. “We are deeply committed to supporting causes in our community like Bike to Hope that yield a transformative impact on the lives of others,” Gordon said. “This incredible event empowers our team to take action ― as both race participants and humanitarians invested in the treatment and prevention of life-threatening diseases. We are pleased to continue our longstanding tradition in advancing City of Hope’s mission.”
Bike to Hope will feature two-course options to cater to seasoned and casual riders alike: a metric century and a half-metric century. Both routes will take the cyclists through the back roads of Sonoma County and will culminate with celebratory brews and barbecue at Penngrove Park.
Wally Naylor, project executive at Pankow Builders and Bike to Hope chair, said the real estate industry volunteers who make up the Northern California Real Estate & Construction Council are dedicated to helping City of Hope find a cure for cancer and other life-threatening diseases. “We’re finding that Bike to Hope is filling up sooner every year, so we encourage people to make plans well ahead, especially if they want to make a weekend of it,” he said. “There’s no better networking than being out in the Sonoma countryside, and the camaraderie of friends and new acquaintances is always a highlight of the ride.”
In addition to SB Architects and Hudson Pacific, other sponsors to date include: Pankow Builders, Nibbi Brothers General Contractors, Swinerton, Plant Construction Company, WCI General Contractors, Brereton Architects, Romak Iron Works, Trammell Crow Residential, Tishman Speyer, TEECOM + FORGE and more.
Several sponsorship levels are available and include branding, collateral and other visibility.
