Northern Trust Open tournament officials recently announced that its partnership with City of Hope, initially a two-year agreement, has been extended for another 11 years, making City of Hope the Official Charity of the historic golf tournament through 2025. City of Hope and other local charities received a record $2.1 million generated from the event last February.

"This is a banner day in Norther Trust Open history and an incredible day for the community of Los Angeles," said Northern Trust Open Executive Director O.D. Vincent. "We are thrilled to extend our partnership with City of Hope through 2025 and look forward to building on what was already proven to be a successful endeavor. And for City of Hope - and other area organizations - to benefit from the highest charitable total in the event's 88-year history shows that our combined efforts are working and that the sky is the limit on what we can continue to do together."

City of Hope utilizes the event as a platform to educate the nation about its work, as well as direct money to lifesaving research from the considerable charitable dollars generated each year from tournament proceeds. In turn, City of Hope works alongside the Northern Trust Open to generate exposure, sales, promotion and growth of the event.

"The success of the tournament has had, and will continue to have, a significant impact both on City of Hope's lifesaving care and on our ability to conduct leading-edge, transformative research," said City of Hope President and Chief Executive Officer Robert Stone. "We are grateful for the awareness and funds raised by the Northern Trust Open. Together, they help us bring hope to patients around the world who are affected by cancer and other life-threatening illness."
