Evaluation and Treatment Center

City of Hope's Evaluation and Treatment Center (ETC) is a highly specialized facility that offers comprehensive, around-the-clock care for cancer-related emergencies or other unexpected needs. Located in the Geri & Richard Brawerman Ambulatory Care Center at the main campus in Duarte, California, the ETC is open 24 hours a day, every day of the year. This ensures that our patients have access to the care they need, regardless of the time or day of the week.

With a distinguished legacy of serving patients for over a decade, the ETC stands out as the only urgent care center dedicated to cancer on the West Coast, providing a unique and vital service to our community. Our facility has 15 private treatment beds and state-of-the-art technology and resources.

We recognize that navigating cancer emergencies can be a harrowing experience for patients and their families. Consequently, we dedicate ourselves to providing emotional support and a comfortable and welcoming environment. Our highly skilled team delivers personalized, empathetic care to our patients experiencing hematologic, oncologic, chemotherapy, immunotherapy and transplant-related complications. In addition, our health professionals are specially trained in recognizing and managing cancer-related emergencies and work closely with the primary cancer teams to ensure patients get the best-coordinated care during their visits.
