Financial Counselors

At City of Hope, we strive to address patient and caregiver questions with clarity and compassion, and we're committed to helping you understand the costs of your care. In addition, we provide the support and guidance necessary to meet the unique needs of you and your loved ones. The Financial Clearance Services office is a problem-solving resource for insurance and financial issues and can provide the following:

• Financial counseling
• Explanation of benefits and eligibility
• Expected out-of-pocket costs
• Insurance authorization
• Medical necessity screening

Once you're a patient, we assign a financial counselor to assist with the financial aspects of your care. They're available to you, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. If you have questions about a particular treatment or service beforehand, you may call 844-936-4673.
