Dr. Liu has a broad background in molecular biology and cancer biology, with specific training and expertise in DNA damage response and autophagy. His research focused on post-translational modifications during DNA damage response and function study of key factors in DNA damage repair process and autophagy. As a postdoctoral researcher and staff scientist, he analyzed the role of key factors functioning in DNA damage repair process, including MDC1, 53BP1, PARP1, CHFR, RAP80, RAD6 and H2AX.
