Chatchada Karanes, M.D. specializes in stem cell transplantation with an emphasis on the use of umbilical cord blood transplants to treat a growing number of blood cancers. Dr. Karanes heads our Cord Blood Transplant Program, a post she's held since joining City of Hope in 2005.
Dr. Karanes served as Medical Director of the National Marrow Donor Program in Minneapolis, MN.
Originally from Thailand, Dr. Karanes completed fellowships in Hematology, Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplantation at Washington University School of Medicine, St. Louis, MO.
