Pete Govorchin, M.B.A., president, City of Hope Chicago, leads a diverse team of medical experts, clinicians, physicians and other talented professionals to help meet the individual needs of patients facing cancer. Beyond his leadership and focus on the present needs of patients, staff and the community, Govorchin has a clear vision for future growth, committing his time and resources to building and strengthening relationships with other local health care systems and designing pathways to provide patients with greater access to care.
Prior to his current role, Govorchin served as Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA) Chicago's chief operating officer. In his role as COO, he facilitated a national expansion strategy for CTCA, and created an environment to attract top talent and a foundation for responsible operational and financial management. Most recently he oversaw the openings of Outpatient Care Centers located in Downtown Chicago, Illinois.
Govorchin also served as the primary talent executive for CTCA Chicago, providing current and future team members with opportunities for continuous career development. In addition, his expertise includes an accomplished track record in the area of business development and operational and financial management. He has influenced and garnered support among state legislators, cancer patients and the public through strategic communications, marketing and brand awareness plans.
Govorchin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in finance and economics from Grand Valley State University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Loyola University of Chicago. In addition, he is a member of many professional organizations, including the Advanced Developmental Program, the American College of Healthcare Executives and is a Green Belt Six Sigma recipient.
