Nursing Research and Education Team

City of Hope's Division of Nursing Research and Education is nationally renowned for its collaborative, multidisciplinary scientific studies on oncology care. The research program is organized around two major themes: quality of life and symptom management. Studies range from cancer diagnosis and treatment to survivorship and end-of-life care, providing valuable insights in cancer control and population science. Research conducted by this division has improved the care delivered to patients throughout the nation.

Suzanne P. Graf, MSN, RN, AGCN-BC, OCN

Clinical Nurse Specialist - Research

Suzanne Graf is a board-certified Clinical Nurse Specialist who is currently serving as the APRN Intensivist for the NCI funded study “Self-Management to Optimize Survivorship Care and Outcomes in Lung and Colorectal Cancers.” She was formerly the Clinical Nurse Specialist for Acute Care Services at Valley Presbyterian Hospital in Van Nuys, California with clinical practice oversight and training of over 300 nurses in seven inpatient units, including oncology. Prior to becoming a CNS, she provided direct patient care and served as charge nurse for the oncology/orthopedics unit. She sits on the Research Committee of the California Association of Clinical Nurse Specialists (CACNS) and is a Programs Co-Chair on the board of the Greater Los Angeles chapter of the Oncology Nursing Society.
