John E. Shively, Ph.D., is the principal investigator, responsible for the overall conduct of the study, including conducting the research, filing reports, and publishing significant findings. He is an immunologist with the appropriate expertise in studying the role of the immune system in FMS.R.
Paul St. Amand, M.D. His role is to diagnose and enroll FMS patients into the study.
He provides a wealth of clinical information to the study based on over 10 years experience in the field. He explains the study to the patient and their parents and obtains their written consent.
Claudia Marek, M.A. Her role is to assist Dr. St. Amand in the clinic and in consenting patients. She collects the samples and provides them to the City of Hope investigators.
Theodore Krontiris, M.D., City of Hope. He is an experienced geneticist who supervises the genetic analysis and is responsible for the interpretation of the genetic data.
Jeffrey Longmate, Ph.D., City of Hope. He is an experienced biostatistician with specialized experience in genetic analysis. He is responsible for data quality control and analysis of its significance.
