This Zeiss Inverted microscope is ideal for imaging assays prepared in well plates in either brightfield, phase contrast or fluorescence imaging modes. The microscope has 5X, 10X, 20X and 40X LWD objectives. A Zeiss AxioCam CCD camera captures mono images with good sensitivity so that fluorescent imaging is easily accomplished. The system is operated by Zeiss AxioVision 4.8.2 software. The spectra of the filter cubes are designed to capture fluoresence from DAPI, GFP, Cy3 and CY5 (blue, green, red and far-red). Fluorescent excitation is supplied by an Exfo Excite with a 5 position neutral density filter for adjustable illumination.
