Sameer Sandhu, M.D., is assistant clinical professor of diagnostic radiology at City of Hope® Cancer Center Duarte, with a subspecialty in abdominal imaging. By providing accurate and rapid diagnoses and test results for his patients, Dr. Sandhu helps each individual’s care team create an effective, personalized treatment plan that takes his or her diagnosis and lifestyle needs into account.
After earning his medical degree at St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies, Dr. Sandhu went on to complete a residency in diagnostic radiology at ChristianaCare Health System in Newark, Delaware, followed by a fellowship in abdominal imaging at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. Before joining City of Hope, he was an assistant professor of radiology at Emory University School of Medicine, where he also served as assistant program director of the abdominal imaging fellowship.
Dr. Sandhu has presented at numerous national conferences, including the Radiological Society of North American, American Roentgen Ray Society and the Society of Abdominal Radiology, and has published his work in journals including Clinical Radiology and JAMA Surgery.
