Shahin Chowdhury, D.O., is a board-certified medical oncologist at City of Hope® Cancer Center Atlanta, where he specializes in diagnosing and treating patients with gastrointestinal and genitourinary cancers. He is a dedicated and compassionate physician who believes strongly in the multidisciplinary, patient-centered care that characterizes City of Hope’s approach to working with patients and their loved ones.
Dr. Chowdhury holds two undergraduate degrees in biology and physician assistant studies and earned his medical degree at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in Kansas City, Missouri. He completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at Genesys Regional Medical Center in Grand Blanc, Missouri, as well as a fellowship in medical oncology at City of Hope Tulsa, in partnership with Oklahoma State University. During this time, he was named chief fellow. He is a member of multiple professional organizations, including the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American College of Osteopathic Internists.
