Cancer doctors usually treat cancer with radiation therapy, surgery or medications including chemotherapy, hormonal therapy and/or biologic therapy, either alone or in combination.

Radiation oncology is one of the three main oncology specialties involved in the successful treatment of cancer.Whether radiation therapy is right for you can only be determined by a radiation oncologist.
