Xi Jiang was awarded her Ph.D. from Fudan University College of Medicine, China, in 2010. She then joined the joint lab co-mentored by the pioneer of cancer genetics, Dr. Janet D. Rowley, and Jianjun Chen, Ph.D., at the University of Chicago, Department of Medicine Section of Hematology/Oncology, as a postdoctoral fellow. From 2015 to October 2017, Jiang worked as an assistant professor of research in Department of Cancer Biology, University of Cincinnati. She then moved to the Department of Systems Biology at City of Hope to continue her work with Chen's lab as an assistant research professor, Step III.
Jiang is interested in translational cancer research based on epigenetic mechanisms, as well as epigenetic regulations in other biological processes such as development, differentiation and circadian control. Jiang aims to benefit patients suffering from leukemia or other cancers through her research and collaboration with clinical and pharmaceutical professionals.
