Radiologist Dara Ghasemizadeh, D.O., has always been interested in medicine. Before becoming a physician, he spent several years as a hospital volunteer and then became a phlebotomist. While in medical school, Dr. Ghasemizadeh started his university’s first radiology club and tutored fellow students as an anatomy lab instructor.
Dr. Ghasemizadeh’s interest in anatomy helped inspire his career in radiological imaging. He has been published in the journal Diagnostics, presented at a Pima County Medical Society Meeting and volunteered in a medical laboratory in Tehran, Iran. As a physician, Dr. Ghasemizadeh’s philosophy is to always display the utmost professionalism, empathy and flexibility when working with his patients.
A Southern California native, Dr. Ghasemizadeh was drawn to City of Hope because of its reputation as one of the best cancer treatment centers in the nation.
In his free time, Dr. Ghasemizadeh enjoys hiking, biking, spending time at the beach and visiting his cabin in the Frazier Park Mountains.
