Vincent Mendiola, M.D., M.P.H.
Vincent Louie Mendiola, M.D., M.P.H., M.Sc. is an oncologist/hematologist with expertise in clinical research and public health. He values the importance of attentively listening to his patients to fully understand their concerns and values, and to better deliver personalized care and treatment through shared decision-making. He is excited by the rapid pace of progress in his field and is passionate about ensuring that his patients benefit from the latest advances.
Dr. Mendiola believes in optimizing treatment outcomes by combining clinical care, research advancement, and application of public health knowledge especially in mitigating healthcare disparities in cancer care. His 15 peer-reviewed scientific publications include health-disparity investigations showing that minorities with an aggressive form of leukemia could have outcomes equal to nonminority patients if given access to all current standards of care and new treatment approaches. He has participated in health outreach programs to the Philippines and Nicaragua and was recognized by the Department of Health for his work creating a mobile clinic for the HIV/STD Prevention Program while earning his Master of Public Health at the University of Miami.
In his free time, Dr. Louie Mendiola’s enjoys food from different cultures and playing basketball.
