The Department of Radiation Oncology at City of Hope^® Cancer Center Phoenix is staffed by cancer experts with extensive experience treating a wide variety of cancers. And because many patients also may require surgery and/or chemotherapy as part of their treatment regimen, our radiation oncologists collaborate regularly with clinicians in other departments to deliver personalized cancer treatment.

Radiation therapy is one of the most common forms of cancer treatment, with up to 60% of patients receiving the treatment as part of their care plan. At City of Hope, we understand that while radiation therapy is a common treatment, each patient’s cancer is different and requires a unique, personalized approach.

Depending on the patient's needs and goals, he or she may receive radiation therapy alone or in combination with other treatments, such as chemotherapy, surgery and/or immunotherapy. Our radiation oncologists work with other doctors and clinicians to monitor each patient’s progress or modify the care plan, if necessary.
