Message From the Chief Executive Officer
Dear Friends,
It has been an exciting year for City of Hope, and I am proud of the progress we have made in our mission to expand hope across the nation.
Although hope often seems intangible, we know it can be found in many forms. Hope is lifesaving treatment accessible close to home. Hope is breakthrough innovations and technologies that improve patient outcomes. Hope is personalized treatments and a compassionate, whole-person approach to care focused on surviving and thriving.
As a national cancer research and treatment system, we delivered more hope to more people than ever before this last year, providing care to more than 144,000 patients across the country. Our cancer centers in Atlanta, Arizona and Chicago are now introducing their communities to City of Hope’s renowned expertise. We are closing health equity gaps by expanding access to genetic testing and increasing diversity in clinical trials. Our researchers are swiftly translating breakthroughs in precision medicine, cellular and gene therapy and immunotherapy into real treatments for real patients.
We continue to attract world-class talent who propel City of Hope into the future. We are also welcoming more people like you — our partners, donors, and supporters — who join us under a shared mission to make an impact and bring our unique brand of care to more patients, families and communities.
Thank you for being part of City of Hope this year as we led the way in transforming cancer care. We are grateful for your continued partnership.
Sincerely,
Robert Stone
