Magnet®-Recognized Nursing Staff in Atlanta
The skilled nurses at City of Hope® Cancer Center Atlanta foster an atmosphere that embodies the patient-focused principle upon which City of Hope was founded. Our nurses create an environment that supports teamwork, work-life balance, employee engagement and professional development, which reflect our hospital’s commitment to providing quality, patient-centered care.
In every corner of City of Hope Atlanta, nurses are delivering outstanding care. That’s why we’re a Magnet-recognized hospital, a distinction earned by fewer than 10% of hospitals nationwide. Awarded by the American Nurses’ Credentialing Center (ANCC), an affiliate of the American Nurses Association, Magnet designation recognizes the caliber of a nursing staff and how their expertise and evidence-based practices translate into exceptional patient care.
All City of Hope hospitals — coast to coast — are Magnet-designated.
Through its ANCC Practice Transition Accreditation Program® (PTAP) for Nurse Fellowship and Residency programs, City of Hope Atlanta has also demonstrated excellence in transitioning registered nurses (RNs) and advance practice register nurses (APRNs) to new practice settings.
