Phoenix Medical Oncology
The medical oncologists at City of Hope® Cancer Center Phoenix are experts at diagnosing cancer and delivering treatments such as chemotherapy, immunotherapy and targeted therapy.
At City of Hope, your medical oncologist will take the time to talk to you about your symptoms, review your medical history and explain the diagnostic and treatment process. Once your cancer diagnosis is confirmed and evaluated, your medical oncologist will work with you to develop a personalized treatment plan tailored to you needs and goals.
Personalized Care from Phoenix Cancer Doctors
Your medical oncologist may recommend a treatment plan in which you only receive one type of treatment, such as chemotherapy or immunotherapy. In some cases, your medical oncologist will work with a team of radiation oncologists, surgical oncologists and other clinicians to deliver a care plan that includes multiple types of treatment, such as surgery and/or radiation therapy.
Throughout your care, your medical oncologist will monitor your treatments, order additional imaging and lab tests to help follow the progress of your treatment and adjust your treatment plan, if necessary.
Regardless of the type of treatment recommended, every patient at City of Hope is treated by a team of professionals dedicated to producing the best possible outcome.

Your medical oncologist also collaborates with a team of supportive care professionals, including dietitians and naturopathic support providers, who may offer strategies to help ease side effects and help you maintain your quality of life.
