Christopher Chen, M.D., M.B.A.

Christopher Chen, M.D., M.B.A., joined City of Hope Phoenix^® in July 2023 as a medical oncologist and hematologist at City of Hope Gilbert Outpatient Care Center, and is the Medical Director of Community Practices for City of Hope Phoenix. Dr. Chen has expertise in treating patients with all types and stages of cancers and blood disorders. Throughout his career, he has developed a particular interest in treating breast cancer, lung cancer, hematologic malignancies and benign hematology disorders. Dr. Chen primarily sees patients at his Gilbert office but has access to the multidisciplinary services at the hospital in Goodyear.

Dr. Chen earned both his Doctor of Medicine and Master of Business Administration degrees from State University of New York at Buffalo followed by an internal medicine residency at the University of Arizona. He then completed a fellowship in hematology oncology at the University of Arizona. Dr. Chen is triple board-certified in hematology, medical oncology and internal medicine through the American Board of Internal Medicine
