Non-Oncology Infusion Services
At City of Hope, we are equipped to administer infusion-based therapies beyond those specific to cancer. Our infusion team, which includes physicians, experienced nurses (OCNs), and other trained clinicians, is trained in managing complex infusions and addressing side effects that may occur.
In addition, City of Hope offers a wide range of accommodations to help patients enjoy a comfortable stay throughout their infusion treatment. Our approach to care focuses on our patients, and taking care to deliver services that not only improve their quality of life but do so in a way that is safe, caring, compassionate, and comfortable.

Nikki Zahabi, D.O., is an assistant clinical professor with a strong background in internal medicine and critical care. Named the Critical Care Intern of the Year and chief resident during her medical training, she has earned a reputation for her broad depth of clinical knowledge and ability to assess and care for the many clinical concerns that often accompany a cancer diagnosis. At City of Hope, she focuses on treating infusion care patients.
Christian Lu, M.D., M.H.S., is an assistant clinical professor and palliative care specialist who supports City of Hope’s whole-person approach to cancer care. Dr. Lu partners with care teams to help patients maintain the best possible quality of life. With his background as a palliative care physician for skilled nursing facilities and home care services, he is also experienced in working with family members in helping them establish a supportive environment for patients outside the hospital setting.
