Parima Daroui, M.D., Ph.D.
Parima Daroui, M.D., Ph.D., was motivated to pursue a career in medicine from an early age, after acting as primary caregiver to her mother. An associate clinical professor in City of Hope’s Department of Radiation Oncology, working with patients at the Temecula and Wildomar Radiation Oncology centers, Dr. Daroui specializes in the treatment of breast cancer with a compassionate and personalized approach, inspired by a desire to help patients in their journey to becoming cancer- and/or pain-free.
After completing her medial degree and her doctoral degree in cellular and molecular pharmacology, she trained and performed clinical research under the mentorship of world-renowned breast specialist Dr. Bruce Haffty.
Highly active in her field, Dr. Daroui has served as an expert moderator at the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) annual conference and is an associate editor for Advances in Radiation Oncology. She also participates on the NRG Ancillary Study committee and the American Radium Society (ARS) and ASTRO breast cancer guideline committees. Recognized by her peers as a “top doctor – physician of excellence” for four years running, she has authored multiple publications, including a book chapter on ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS) and several publications on techniques to improve outcomes for patients receiving radiation therapy.
Dr. Daroui speaks fluent Farsi, as well as some Italian and French.
