Expanding Hope Nationwide

Wherever they live, whatever their backgrounds, all patients deserve the best care available. We are extending our nationally recognized leadership in reinventing the future of treatment and care for cancer and diabetes, building on our unique system of community-based clinical care networks, academic research, a biotech hybrid and national philanthropy.

On the journey to revolutionize cancer care, City of Hope® is taking the lead. We are creating leading-edge facilities nationwide that seamlessly integrate advanced technologies, personalized treatment approaches and compassionate patient care. The City of Hope system now serves some 144,000 patients each year, with more than 12,000 team members, including nearly 600 physicians and more than 1,000 researchers across a network of more than three dozen locations in California, Arizona, Illinois and Georgia.

City of Hope Orange County is now the county’s largest cancer network, including a world-class comprehensive cancer center in Irvine, seven clinical locations and a soon-to-open specialty cancer hospital.

Beyond Southern California, City of Hope is marking the one-year anniversary of our expansion to sites in Atlanta, Chicago and Phoenix. Each location offers comforting, healing environments for patients, fostering hope and resilience. Collaborative research spaces have accelerated groundbreaking discoveries, while state-of-the-art diagnostic tools enhance early detection. Each City of Hope location is committed to providing everyone of all backgrounds with equal access to our medical breakthroughs. City of Hope is doing the critical work of building bridges to underserved communities, expanding access to genetic testing and increasing diversity in clinical trials.

City of Hope is also recruiting and training the next generation of cancer care professionals to reflect and relate to the communities they serve.

“Our mission is to connect more patients, families and communities to leading-edge research, treatment and care,” said Vijay Trisal, M.D., system chief clinical officer and Dr. Norman & Melinda Payson Professor in Medicine. “I am excited for the future, for what we will accomplish together."
