The results guided her towards a treatment plan including a newly available immunotherapy, atezolizumab. Now 68, Nudelman is in remission.

City of Hope Presents Pivotal Clinical Trial Data on Potential New Therapy for Acute Leukemias

Revumenib, an orally administered cancer medicine known as a menin inhibitor, showed safety and efficacy in a key Phase 2 study in adult and pediatric patients with relapsed/refractory acute myeloid leukemia (AML), acute lymphoid leukemia (ALL) and mixed phenotype leukemia.

Cancer Clinical Trials

Clinical studies evaluate the safety and effectiveness of new approaches to treating cancer, either with new drug development, new technologies or by using existing treatments in new ways. New treatments often take years of study before they win regulatory approval from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). While the trials take their course, they often offer participating patients new options that may otherwise be unavailable to them, especially after exhausting conventional cancer treatments.

Founded in 1913, City of Hope has built an exceptional reputation in clinical care and research, with nearly 1,000 clinical trials conducted each year and a tradition of scientific impact – from the Beckman Research Institute’s discoveries on monoclonal antibodies, RNA and CAR T cell therapy to Translational Genomics Research (TGen) scientists’ development of the leading comprehensive genomic profiling test used for precision medicine today. And with not one but three on-site, certified “good manufacturing practice facilities” that allow us to manufacture cellular therapy product such as CAR T cells, we can deliver breakthroughs from lab to patient with lifesaving speed.

Groundbreaking research isn’t just our legacy, it’s an enduring mission that drives us every day toward a singular goal: to bring tomorrow’s cures to every patient who needs them, when and where they need them.

Community Benefits

City of Hope is committed to reducing health disparities and improving the health of our communities by addressing the root causes of cancer and other diseases and prioritizing community benefits. Our comprehensive Community Benefit Implementation Strategy focuses on vulnerable populations, fostering employee collaboration and creating pathways for health and healing.
