Radiation Oncology
City of Hope’s radiation oncology program is one of the largest and most experienced in Southern California. We offer a comprehensive set of specialized services and advanced technologies, planned and provided by our uniquely trained staff, for a broad range of cancer diagnoses.
Our team is trained in the latest advances in radiation oncology and may use one of the following therapies to treat your cancer:
- 3-D Conformal
- 3-D Ultrasound Imaging
- Accelerated Partial-breast Irradiation
- CT Scanning and Simulation
- Image-guided Radiation Therapy
- Intensity Modulated Radiation Therap
- Seed Implants (Low Dose Rate Brachytherapy)
Our San Bernardino location also offers low-dose radiation therapy (LD-RT) for musculoskeletal conditions. LD-RT is a safe and non-invasive treatment to help patients with conditions such as osteoarthritis manage pain and maintain their quality of life.

View a list of insurance companies that City of Hope currently contracts with for its locations and physicians. Even if your plan is included, check with your insurance company to make sure you are covered. Your insurance company/medical group will tell you if you need any authorizations.
If you wish to receive treatment at City of Hope, but we're not currently contracted with your insurance plan, contact your insurance company and ask about obtaining authorization to receive treatment here.
No Surprise Billing
When you're treated by an out-of-network provider at an in-network facility, you are protected from balance billing. In these cases, you shouldn't be charged more than your plan's copayments, coinsurance and/or deductible. Learn about your rights and protections against surprise medical bills.
