LARE Building Hope

Building Hope is the emerging leaders' council partner of City of Hope's Los Angeles Real Estate & Construction Council (LARE).

Founded in 2011, Building Hope members are commercial real estate industry future leaders under 50 years of age who together raise awareness and vital funds for City of Hope’s life-saving research and compassionate patient care.

Since its creation, Building Hope members and supporters have raised over $1.2 million to help accelerate cures and transform the future of health care.

Building Hope’s annual marquee event is the Monte Carlo Game Night on June 6th this year. Other hosted events and networking opportunities include quarterly Building Hope Group Meetings featuring speaker panels with industry leaders, a City of Hope campus tour meeting world-renowned researchers and physicians, and an opportunity join City of Hope’s national Walk for Hope as a united industry team on September 8, 2024 at walks in Los Angeles, Orange County, Chicago, Atlanta and/or Phoenix.

Building Hope Impact

Funds raised through the 9th Annual Monte Carlo Game Night will support the City of Hope Women’s Cancers Research Accelerator Fund.

Women’s cancers are devastating and rampant with one in eight women facing breast cancer, which accounts for the second highest cause of cancer deaths in women. While less common than breast cancer, gynecological cancers are notoriously difficult to detect in early stages and, in turn, pose great risk.

Research Accelerator Funds at City of Hope provide immediate support for high-potential research on these deadly cancers, helping faculty leaders propel the most promising new therapies through City of Hope’s expedited research pathway.
Your support will help make new therapies available to patients much faster than would otherwise be possible — bringing the gift of time to women and families who cannot afford to wait.
