Endocrinologist Nairi Berner, M.D., M.S., centers her approach to patient care on trust and partnership. The aspect of her calling that brings her the greatest satisfaction is the chance to see her patients get stronger, feel better and experience hope.
Dr. Berner received her medical degree from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in Chicago, where she was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She completed a residency in internal medicine at Yale New Haven Hospital, including one year as chief resident, and a fellowship in endocrinology at the University of California, Irvine, from which she also received a master’s degree in biomedical and translational sciences.
In 2022, Dr. Berner joined City of Hope from UC Irvine, where she had been an assistant clinical professor of endocrinology. Previously, she has worked with Saddleback Medical Group, Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago and Yale New Haven Hospital, where she was an attending physician with oversight of residents.
Fluent in Armenian, Dr. Berner enjoys spending her time away from the clinic with her family.
