Supportive Care Medicine Classes and Group Programs

City of Hope Orange County offers patients and caregivers a variety of classes, including courses in nutrition, how to look and feel your best during cancer treatment, and several integrative oncology therapies, such as mind-body medicine, acupuncture and more. In addition, patients and caregivers may also benefit from one of our support groups and the chance to connect with other patients and families, such as our diabetes empowerment group or our caregivers connect support group.

Patient and Family Orientation

Every Monday | 11 a.m. to noon

Caregivers Connect

First Wednesday of every month | noon to 1 p.m.

This group is for caregivers of cancer patients. Meet other caregivers, reduce stress and support each other.

Mind Body Medicine
Mind Body Medicine

Every Thursday | 10 to 11 a.m.

Learn to focus on the interactions between your mind and body and develop awareness of your physical and emotional state.

Confidence with Haircare & More

First Monday of every month | 1 to 1:45 p.m.

Led by a licensed cosmetology specialist, this class is a great resource to help you feel vibrant throughout your treatment.

Chair Yoga

Every Wednesday | 10:30 to 11:30am

This seated yoga class is ideal for those with balance and mobility issues, but offers benefits for all patients. 


Every Wednesday | 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.

This class includes qigong set routines to cultivate coordination, mental and emotional stress relief, muscular relaxation and more.

A gentle yoga class offers a variety of benefits, including improved range of motion, flexibility, strength and more.

Nutrition Class

First Tuesday of every month | 6 to 7 p.m.

Join our oncology nutrition expert to learn about diet and nutrition throughout the cancer continuum, and common cancer diet myths.

MyCityofHope Workshop

Every Tuesday | 10 to 11 a.m.

One-on-one technical assistance on how to download the app, register for an account, utilize the various features and much more!

Breast Cancer Support Group

Every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the Month | Noon to 1 p.m.

Join other women navigating a breast cancer journey, and receive feedback and support in a confidential setting.

Diabetes Empowerment Group

Third Tuesday of every month | 1 to 2 p.m.

Share ideas, experiences and tips to help manage your condition. Get guidance from occasional guest speakers.

Understanding Lymphedema

First Monday of every month | 3 to 4 p.m.

Explore the lymphatic system to understand risk factors, symptoms, tips for prevention and treatment options.
