Celebrate Life at City of Hope
35 Years, Thousands of Survivors
For more than 30 years, City of Hope® has honored the resilience and strength of cancer survivors through our Celebrate Life® events, which take place every year at our cancer centers in Atlanta, Chicago and Phoenix. . Celebrate Life recognizes those who have reached the significant milestone of being five years or more since beginning treatment with City of Hope from our Atlanta, Chicago or Phoenix cancer centers.
The tradition of Celebrate Life brings survivors together and helps them maintain a rewarding connection to the doctors, nurses and staff who helped change their lives. The event is an annual luncheons at City of Hope’s hospitals in Atlanta, Chicago and Phoenix, giving survivors the chance to add their names and stories to our Celebrate Life Survivor Tree.

About the Celebrate Life
Survivor Tree
When you become a five-year survivor, our Cancer Fighters team will ask if you would like your name, story and photo to be added to our Celebrate Life Survivor Tree.
The Survivor Tree is a powerful reminder of the perseverance, strength and determination of the thousands of cancer survivors who received treatment at City of Hope’s hospitals in Atlanta, Chicago and Phoenix. Each leaf on the tree represents the unique story of that person’s journey from diagnosis through to survival and serves as an inspiration to fellow patients, caregivers and care teams.
