Steve Tseng, D.O., is a lifelong learner who was drawn to pulmonary medicine by the field’s complexity and ongoing evolution. He focuses on treating the patient, not the disease, in keeping with City of Hope’s ethos of individualized, compassionate care.
Dr. Tseng is a pulmonary and critical care medicine specialist who has expertise managing conditions such as interstitial lung disease, pulmonary hypertension, advanced obstructive lung disease and alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency, as well as experience managing lung transplantation. Before joining City of Hope in 2023, he was in private practice in the San Gabriel Valley area. In addition to providing patient care, he conducts research, including a case study published in the journal Chest. The Banner Health Foundation recognized Dr. Tseng as a Banner Health Hero when he was chief fellow at the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix.
In his free time, Dr. Tseng loves spending time with his family, going to the movies and traveling. He is a big fan of the Dodgers, Lakers and UCLA sports.
