George Bernard Semeniuk, III, M.D., was drawn to cancer care while in medical school, after a young family member died of brain cancer. More than two decades into his career in oncology, he strives to help each patient achieve the best possible outcome with an individualized treatment plan based on the understanding that each patient, and each family, is unique.
As a patient of Dr. Semeniuk, you can expect to be greeted with a caring and compassionate attitude. You will get his undivided attention during your appointment. He works directly with your other providers to coordinate a personalized treatment plan that coincides with your values and goals. His practice focuses on head and neck, lung and skin cancers, and he works in conjunction with researchers at City of Hope to pioneer clinical research that focuses on various anti-cancer drug therapies in various phases of development. Dr. Semeniuk is trained in integrative oncology and combines complementary therapies with mainstream oncology care to address patients' physical, psychological and spiritual needs.
After earning his M.D. at St. George's University in New York, Dr. Semeniuk was an intern and resident in internal medicine at the University of California San Francisco where he served as chief resident, a fellow in oncology/hematology at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and a fellow in integrative medicine at the University of Arizona. Before City of Hope, he maintained a longstanding private practice and held positions at Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian and Keck School of Medicine of USC.
Away from the clinic, Dr. Semeniuk enjoys golf, tennis, hiking, cooking and having new adventures with his family.
