City of Hope Orange County's Irvine Academic Cancer Campus includes our Cancer Specialty Hospital and Lennar Foundation Cancer Center.
We know how important family and friends are in the healing process, and this guide will help you plan your visit,
from visiting hours and parking to dining, lodging and more.
Irvine Academic Cancer Campus Visiting Hours
We're looking forward to having you visit our campus. Friends and family are part of the healing journey. We welcome guests, including children over the age of five if accompanied by an adult. To help us maintain a safe and restful environment for our patients, please take a moment to review a few reminders. Once you arrive, please stop by the reception desk to check in and receive a visitor badge.
- Surgery center is open 24/7
- One (1) visitor at a time at the patient's bedside (pre-op and recovery)
- Entrance is located on the 2nd floor of Lennar Foundation Cancer Center
Guests are welcome every day during these hours:
- 6 a.m. – 9 p.m. | Up to two visitors at a time
- 9 p.m. – 6 a.m. | One overnight visitor allowed
Located on 1st floor of the Inpatient Hospital
- Open for timely cancer-related symptom management
- One visitor allowed in each assessment room
- Outpatient Appointments
- This facility is open Mon-Fri: 6 a.m. – 6 p.m.
- One visitor allowed to accompany patient. Guests accompanying patients receiving radiology/radiology oncology treatments or undergoing outpatient surgery are welcome to wait in the lobby or in one of our dining areas.

Irvine Academic Cancer Campus Resources

- Valet parking: Available daily ($2-$4 for visitors and free for inpatient admissions).
- Self-parking: Free parking is available directly in front of the hospital and Lennar Foundation Cancer Center at 1000 FivePoint, Irvine, CA 92618.
- Shuttle service: Free weekday shuttle (from parking structure to OC Cancer Specialty Hospital and Lennar Foundation Cancer Center).
Your health and safety are our priority. Please take a moment to review these policies:
- Masking Information
- Patients should follow masking instructions given to them by their care team.
- For inpatient areas, a mask (and gloves) are required when entering the room of a patient in protective isolation but are no longer required in hallways.
- Protective isolation inpatients need to wear a mask when leaving a protected environment for tests or for ambulating in the hallways.
- Transplant patients, unless instructed otherwise by their provider, should wear a mask for the first 100 days post-transplant.
- Masking is not required in public areas, including intake and check-in areas of the hematology clinics, waiting rooms/lobbies and at our retail restaurants.
- Masking will remain optional for staff, visitors and patients on campus shuttles.
- Patients with flu-like symptoms or fever should call their care team before coming to an appointment.
- As always, we ask visitors to stay home if they are sick.
- Our campus is smoke-free — this includes vaping and cannabis.
- Only service animals are allowed inside our facilities.
Our Irvine Academic Cancer Campus features Marybelle’s Boutique (Mon-Fri 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.) and a Hospital Gift Shop (Mon-Fri, 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.; Sat, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.)
If you plan to bring your own gifts, please help us protect patients with weakened immune systems:
- Flowers, plants and balloons are not permitted inside our facilities.
- Check with the care team before bringing food or personal items.
