Opening More Doors to Conquer Cancer
The new facility will also expand clinical trial offerings for Orange County. City of Hope trailblazes research that helps patients right now – not years from now. This immediacy of focus has made City of Hope a worldwide leader in cancer research. Each year, City of Hope experts conduct more than 800 Phase 1 to 3 clinical trials – including first in human trials — offering promising new treatments years before they become widely available.
The hospital will be home to an expanded roster of world-renowned physicians and researchers with unsurpassed expertise in all kinds of cancers. This extraordinary bench of knowledge includes internationally noted specialists in blood cancers, along with breast, lung, colon, prostate, gynecologic cancers and other solid tumors.
The cancer-focused hospital is being thoughtfully designed with patient comfort in mind, incorporating input from the diverse local community. The goal, as with all care at City of Hope, is for patients to know immediately upon walking through the doors that they have found a place of hope and healing.
