As a breast surgical oncologist at City of Hope® Cancer Center Prescott, LaNette Smith, M.D., works closely with patients diagnosed with multiple types and stages of breast cancer, offering conventional and less-invasive surgical treatment options, including nipple-sparing mastectomy and image-guided breast biopsy.
Over the course of her career, Dr. Smith has served many patients across both Arizona and Oklahoma. She is committed to a compassionate, comprehensive approach to breast cancer care that prioritizes each patient’s unique diagnosis and needs. Dr. Smith also recognizes the importance of educating patients about breast cancer screening options and high-risk screening.
Dr. Smith earned her medical degree and completed a residency in general surgery at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in Tulsa. Her training continued with a breast surgery fellowship at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock. A member of multiple professional organizations, including the American Society of Breast Surgeons and the Association of Women Surgeons, she’s published on her research in several peer-reviewed journals.
