Ahmed Abdalla, M.B.B.Ch., F.R.C.R., is a radiologist specializing in breast and body imaging and an assistant clinical professor of radiology at City of Hope® Cancer Center Chicago.
Bringing extensive training and expertise in cancer imaging and image-guided procedures, Dr. Abdalla’s specialties include mammography, ultrasound, breast magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), positron emission tomography (PET) and computed tomography (CT). He also has broad experience in conducting minimally invasive breast biopsies, including MRI-guided and stereotactic procedures.
Dr. Abdalla was drawn to City of Hope because of its nationally recognized, patient-focused cancer care.
After receiving his medical degree from Alexandria University College of Medicine in Alexandria, Egypt, Dr. Abdalla completed fellowship training in neuroradiology, abdominal radiology and breast imaging, most recently at Saint Louis University in St. Louis, Missouri. He also holds the fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists in London, United Kingdom, and is board eligible with the American Board of Radiology.
When he isn’t working, Dr. Abdalla enjoys reading, traveling and swimming. He is fluent in Arabic and speaks conversational French.
