Radiation Oncology Residency Program
Welcome / Overview
At City of Hope, residents train at the forefront of cancer care, research, and innovation in a cancer-focused environment where multidisciplinary collaboration, advanced technology, and scientific discovery come together to improve the lives of patients with cancer. As an NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center, we provide a unique learning environment where future radiation oncologists develop the clinical, research, and leadership skills needed to deliver exceptional patient-centered care and advance the field of radiation oncology.
Mission
The mission of the Radiation Oncology Residency Program is to educate and train compassionate, skilled, and professional radiation oncologists who provide safe, high-quality, patient-centered cancer care. Through multidisciplinary education, progressive clinical responsibility, advanced radiation oncology therapies, and clinical and translational research, residents develop the knowledge, skills, clinical judgment, and professionalism necessary for independent practice and lifelong learning. In alignment with the City of Hope mission, the program prepares physicians to advance the prevention, treatment, and cure of cancer through excellence in patient care, education, research, and innovation.
