Widely renowned in the field of otolaryngology head and neck surgery and thyroid and parathyroid surgical care, Dr. Chen brings more than three decades of clinical care, research and education to her role as chief of surgery and director of thyroid oncology at City of Hope Atlanta. Dr. Chen is passionate about expanding access to new surgical options for patients, including intraoperative nerve monitoring (IONM) during thyroidectomy, a specialized technique for complex thyroid cancer.

At City of Hope Atlanta, Dr. Chen works hand in hand with #ndocrinologist Sabrina René, M.D., who treats a wide range of endocrine disorders, including thyroid cancer, hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism. With more than 25 years of experience, Dr. René offers patients expertise in thyroid ultrasound and fine-needle and aspirate biopsy to accurately diagnose thyroid conditions.
