Neurosurgical Oncology Fellowship Program
The aims of the Neurosurgical Oncology Fellowship are to refine clinical skills, become trained as a clinical investigator and to participate in either groundbreaking translational or clinical research.
Objectives
- To learn advanced techniques for brain and spine tumor surgery: Additionally, fellows will benefit from exposure to our highly innovative brain tumor trials and frequent application of posterior-only approaches for thoracic and lumbar corpectomies.
- To learn the nonoperative nuances of managing neuro-oncology patients: However, noneducational activities such as routine floor work and clinic attendance are minimized with the assumption that these skills have already been gained during residency.
- To perform meaningful clinical or laboratory research: This plan will be highly individualized depending on the fellow’s aptitudes and inclinations. The fellow is expected to submit or publish at least one paper as first or second author.
