Clayton S. Lau, M.D.

At City of Hope since 2006, Clayton S. Lau, M.D., specializes in minimally invasive approaches to urologic oncology and reconstructive urology. He has performed over 4,000 robotic and laparoscopic procedures. He has also trained numerous surgeons in robotic surgery throughout the U.S. He is an international expert in robotic surgery and has been invited to lecture and perform robotic surgeries internationally.

Dr. Lau is known for the close, professional relationship he establishes with his patients. He goes the extra mile to make sure they know everything they need to know about their urologic malignancy treatment options – and that includes getting a second opinion.

“Second opinions are very important for any patient who has been diagnosed with cancer,” he says. “I see about 20 to 30 second opinion patients per month.”
