Patient Stories From Childhood Cancer Treatment at City of Hope

City of Hope patients have triumphed in a variety of ways. Viviana Bivian fought acute lymphoblastic leukemia when she was 18. After navigating several rounds of chemotherapy, she received a pediatric stem cell transplant, and now she’s thriving as a graduate student studying film, graphic design, marketing and sports entertainment.

Then there’s Kaleb Warman, who received a diffuse tenosynovial giant cell tumor diagnosis when he was 16. He began medication therapy in 2023, and six months later, his tumor had disappeared and subsequent scans showed no evidence of disease.
