We are proud to announce Michael Brinkenhoff, MD, Founder & CEO of RevitaLash® Cosmetics, as the 2027 Spirit of Life® Honoree.

A board‑certified ophthalmologist with more than 30 years of medical experience, Dr. Brinkenhoff has dedicated his career to improving lives—both in the exam room and far beyond it. After earning his M.D. from the University of Colorado in 1976, he went on to specialize in medical and surgical ophthalmology, serving the Ventura, California community for 25 years.

Dr. Brinkenhoff’s journey into the beauty industry began from a deeply personal place. Inspired by his wife Gayle’s strength and resilience during her battle with metastatic breast cancer, he founded RevitaLash Cosmetics in 2006 with a mission to help her feel beautiful and confident. What started as a heartfelt gesture has since grown into a globally recognized brand, now available in more than 70 countries.

Guided by the same purpose that sparked its creation, RevitaLash continues to champion breast cancer research, education, and support worldwide. Dr. Brinkenhoff’s unwavering commitment to giving back—and his belief in the power of beauty to uplift and empower—embodies the very spirit of this honor.
