As a medical oncologist at City of Hope® Cancer Center Chicago, Laura Farrington, D.O., specializes in comprehensive care for patients facing solid tumors, including rare tumors, breast cancer, sarcomas, brain tumors and head and neck cancer, at every stage of disease. As a physician, she prioritizes patient empowerment by helping her patients understand their disease and treatment options so they can make informed decisions about their care that will benefit them in the best way possible.
Board-certified in medical oncology, Dr. Farrington earned her medical degree from Midwestern University’s Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her residency in internal medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin, followed by a fellowship in medical oncology at East Tennessee State University. A member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and Connective Tissue Oncology Society, she serves as the Chair of the Ethics Committee at City of Hope Zion.
As a physician-scientist, Dr. Farrington is actively involved in research, particularly in targeted therapies, and has contributed significantly to several studies as a principal investigator aimed at improving outcomes for various cancer types.
