Aaron Scott, M.D.
- Surgical Oncology
- Assistant Clinical Professor, Division of Surgical Oncology, Department of Surgery
Aaron Scott, M.D., is an assistant clinical professor of surgical oncology at City of Hope® Antelope Valley, where he brings his expertise as a cancer surgeon to patients across Southern California. Dr. Scott’s philosophy is to meet patients where they are, recognizing their individual hopes and health goals, and to treat them with compassion and clinical excellence.
Dr. Scott majored in physics as an undergraduate but chose to pivot to the field of medicine because it meant working directly with patients to improve their lives in a meaningful way. He earned his medical degree at Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, then completed a residency in general surgery at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City (where he was also administrative chief resident), followed by a general surgical oncology fellowship at City of Hope.
His research, which has been published in more than a dozen peer-reviewed journals, focuses on topics including neuroendocrine tumors of the pancreas and liver and the use of biomarkers to manage small bowel tumors.
