As a medical oncologist and hematologist at City of Hope® Cancer Center Prescott, Alan Langerak, M.D., works with patients’ collaborative care teams to diagnose and treat a wide range of cancer types and stages, with an emphasis on breast cancer, lung cancer and genitourinary disease.
Dr. Langerak has more than 25 years’ experience in cancer care. Prior to joining City of Hope, he held positions at an oncology group and medical center in Prescott, Arizona, and worked in teaching and clinical roles in Arizona, Oklahoma and Idaho. He is committed to delivering compassionate cancer care that seeks to improve all patients’ quality of life.
Dr. Langerak completed his medical training at the University of Arizona College of Medicine in Tucson, earning his medical degree and pursuing his internal medicine internship and residency and a fellowship in hematology-oncology. He is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncologists and the American Society of Hematology and previously served as president of the Oklahoma Society of Clinical Oncology.
